Heal Hemorrhoids Fast and Prevent Their Dreaded Return
The most common causes of hemorrhoids are straining during a bowel movement due to constipation. Hemorrhoids can also occur for women during pregnancy because the blood flow to their pelvic region increases by about 30-50%. They also occur due to the pushing phase of labor – not too dissimilar from straining during a bowel movement.
What is a Hemorrhoid?
An external hemorrhoid results from enlarged veins in the rectum that are pushed outside of the anal sphincter and therefore get pinched off by the sphincter, creating small blood-filled sacks. You may notice discomfort during bowel movements or when sitting. More specifically, you may experience small amounts of blood when you wipe, itchiness, burning, or swelling around your anus.
External hemorrhoids can be extremely uncomfortable, especially if you’re pregnant or postpartum, but they’re something that affect a huge percentage of the population.
There are internal hemorrhoids as well, but these aren’t usually painful and therefore don’t necessarily require any intervention. In fact, you likely won’t even know you have them. So, we won’t focus on those here.
How to Heal Your Hemorrhoids FAST
Booty Bliss: Hemorrhoid Cream
Our specially formulated hemorrhoid cream, Booty Bliss is the best product on the market for relieving discomfort, shrinking hemorrhoids, and contracting and strengthening the skin. How you use this product determines how quickly recovery can happen: with clean hands, apply a small amount of the salve directly on to your hemorrhoids, pushing the hemorrhoids back up into the anal sphincter. We know it doesn’t sound fun, but this will give you the fastest recovery times and make future bowel movements a lot less painful.
The salve will go to work internally and externally to heal the hemorrhoids. Apply as many times per day as desired, but especially before bed – laying down decreases pressure and rubbing compared to sitting, walking, etc., making this an ideal time for healing.
Fiber
Adding fiber to your diet is key to preventing hemorrhoids and easing the pain of bowel movements while you’re clearing them up. Whole grains, nuts, seeds, fresh fruits and vegetables contain the highest levels of fiber. More fiber can create a noticeable change in 24-48 hours. Aim for 25-30 grams of fiber per day. Here’s a great list of how much fiber is in various foods. If you find that increasing your fiber causes bloating or gas, increase your intake more slowly. Your body will adjust.
Hydration
It’s recommended that men drink about 125oz of water per day and women about 90oz— more if you exercise or if you live at altitude. Very few people reach these amounts consistently. Hydration helps to ease constipation and make bowel movements more tolerable. Get a water bottle, know how many times you have to refill it to reach the recommended amount, and get drinking. Not necessarily easy, but super important for preventing future occurrences.
Magnesium Supplement
Magnesium has a huge array of health benefits. You can read about all the reasons that supplementing with magnesium is good for your physical and mental health in this blog post.
It is especially helpful for dealing with hemorrhoids because it works quickly to soften stool, creating smoother bowel movements. There’s a lot of different ways to take magnesium, the one that works the best and seems to be easiest is a powdered product called Calm that you add to water. It comes in a bunch of flavors. We drink it before bed because magnesium also helps to induce sleep. But, you can also take it in pill form as well as through salt baths.
Summary
About half of adults deal with hemorrhoids by the time they’re 50 years old and it’s usually due to constipation and straining during bowel movements. However, they’re also common throughout and after pregnancy.
Regardless of why hemorrhoids occur, the solutions are the same: first, use Booty Bliss to ease your discomfort, heal the hemorrhoids, and keep the area around it healthy and free of infection. Then, use a combination of high fiber foods, increased water consumption and a magnesium supplement to make bowel movements less painful thereby reducing the likelihood that hemorrhoids return.
